Application Planning

This section describes how to use InfoEqualizer to plan networks and services.

Network Planning

A four-node OceanStor 9000 is deployed on the data center network. The front-end service network ports of two nodes are connected to the subnet where the computing cloud resides, and the front-end service network ports of the other two nodes are connected the subnet where the data transmission system resides. Figure 2-20 shows the network diagram.

After establishing the network, plan IP addresses for the storage system to ensure that the two subnets are connected to the storage system correctly. It is recommended that the number of dynamic IP addresses be the number of ports connected to the front-end network. Table 2-17 describes the IP address planning.

Service Planning

Based on the storage requirement analysis, use the InfoEqualizer feature to plan services. If other features or services are used, plan services based on site requirements. For details, see related OceanStor 9000 documentation. Table 2-18 describes the storage service planning.
