Impact on System Performance

There is no impact on system performance.

Interactions with Other Features

InfoRevive feature may affect and interact with other features when they are used at the same time. Interaction between InfoRevive feature and other features are described in Table 9-3.

  • After the InfoRevive license is loaded, read/write-related features except data balancing, data reconstruction, and InfoTier are affected. When the faulty nodes or disks in the storage system exceed the upper limit, read and write operations follow the process after InfoRevive is enabled.
  • With the InfoRevive read and write fault tolerance mode being enabled, the data reconstruction failure alarm will not be reported when fewer-than-required data copies are written successfully. Instead, a file damage alarm is reported during file read/writing.

Application restrictions of InfoRevive feature is described in Table 9-4.

If metadata is damaged and the number of damaged metadata files exceeds the threshold of metadata protection level, an alarm is reported.
