Adding a Hadoop Client

Adding a Hadoop Client

This section explains how to add one or more clients to the FusionInsight Hadoop cluster.

Prerequisites

OceanStor 9000 has interconnected with the Hadoop cluster.

Procedure

  1. As instructed by the FusionInsight Hadoop documents, log in to FusionInsight Hadoop Manager, download the client software and configuration file, and install the software.
  2. Change parameter values in deploy.properties.
    1. Log in to the first Hadoop node as user root.
    2. Use the vi editor to change the values in /temp/tools/tools/deploy.properties.

      The requirements are as follows:

      • NEED_UPDATE_CLUSTER: Set the parameter value to false.

      • NEED_DO_PRECREATE_DIR: Set the parameter value to false.

      • NEED_UPDATE_CLIENT: Set the parameter value to true.

      • HADOOP_CLIENT_NODE: Set the parameter value to the IP address of the client to be added. The IP addresses are separated by commas ,. If one client has multiple IP addresses that can communicate with the network where the first Hadoop node resides, you only need to enter one IP address.

      • HADOOP_CLIENT_HOME: Set the parameter value to the installation directory of the Hadoop client.

There is no need to change other parameter values.

  3. Run the following command to install HDFS Plugin:

    node1:~ # cd /temp/tools/tools
    node1:/temp/tools/tools # ./deployTools.sh deploy

Verification Procedure

Log in to the newly added Hadoop client and view the installation status of HDFS Plugin.
