Configuring NFS File Sharing

Configuring NFS File Sharing

In the OceanStor 9000, configure NFS file sharing for Cloudera Hadoop nodes.

Prerequisites

The OceanStor 9000 software has been installed and the file system has been initialized.

Context

Configuration requirements are as follows:

  • IP addresses or IP address segments of all Hadoop nodes need to be added to the client list.

  • Permission is set to Read-write.

  • Advanced parameter Write Mode is set to Asynchronous.

Procedure

  1. Log in to OOceanStor 9000 DeviceManager.
  2. Create a directory.
    1. Choose Provisioning > Create Directory.
    2. In Name, enter the data analysis directory.
    3. Click Advanced and select all permission check boxes, as shown in Figure 14-16.

    4. Click OK to go back to the Create Directory page.
    5. Click OK.
  3. Create a share.
    1. Choose Provisioning > Create Share.
    2. Select the NFS check box. In Share Path, select the created data analysis directory, as shown in Figure 14-17.

    3. Click Next.
    4. Click Add to add a client and grant permissions.

The IP address or IP address segment in each record can correspond to one or more hosts. You can add multiple records to fit your individual needs and ensure that all Hadoop nodes are added to the client list. If multiple IP addresses of one Hadoop node communicate with the front-end service network of OceanStor 9000, all those IP addresses need to be added to the client list.

In Name or IP Address, enter an IP address or IP address segment. Set Permission to Read-write and select Asynchronous, no_all_squash, and no_root_squash, as shown in Figure 14-18.

    5. Click Next and click Finish.
