This section describes major parameters of InfoEqualizer configuration.

Table 2-25 describes the parameters.

Load balance

Indicates a client load balancing policy. Client access requests can be evenly distributed among all nodes based on the specified policy.

The default balancing policy is round robin.

Dynamic service IP address

Indicates a dynamic IP address assigned to the front-end service network port of a node.

Number of dynamic IP addresses of the front-end service network port

The change infoequalizer business_iface_min_dynip command can be used to change the number of dynamic IP addresses assigned to each front-end service network port.

Static service IP address

Indicates a fixed IP address assigned to the front-end service network port of a node.

Dynamic domain name

Indicates the domain name that is resolved to return the dynamic service IP address.

Static domain name

Indicates the domain name that is resolved to return the static service IP address.

Subnet

You can add system nodes to different subnets and configure dynamic and static service IP addresses for the subnets to provide file sharing services to clients connecting to the subnets.

The default subnet is default.

Internal DNS server IP address

Used to provide the domain name resolution service in a subnet.

The DNS service IP address of InfoEqualizer is the internal DNS server IP address of default.

IP address pool

Indicates a range of dynamic service IP addresses that can be allocated to all nodes on subnets.

Zone

Nodes a subnets can be divided into zones, and different load balancing policies can be configured for zones.

The default zone is root.

Sub domain name

Indicates the property of a zone. A sub domain name and a dynamic or static domain name comprise a complete zone domain name. A sub domain name can be used to access file sharing services on nodes in zones.

The sub domain name of default zone is default. Specially, nodes in root zone can be accessed by using only InfoEqualizer Dynamic domain name or Static domain name too.
