Logging In to the P12/P25/P36/C36 by Using the KVM


The storage node to which you want to log in has been connected to any port from PC1 to PC8 on the KVM, as shown in Figure 22-3.

  1. Press a number key on the KVM to connect the storage node to the corresponding port on the KVM.

    For example, to connect the storage node to PC2 on the KVM, press 2.

  2. Enter the user name and password of the Linux operating system.

    The default password for user root is Root@storage.

    • For security purposes, after the software installation, you are advised to change the default password at your first login and periodically change the password.

    • If the KVM connected to the storage node is not delivered with the OceanStor 9000, login to the storage node may fail. If a login failure occurs, disconnect the KVM and connect a monitor and a keyboard to the storage node.

    • During the process, you can run the TMOUT=0 command to avoid automatic disconnections due to timeout.
