Introduction to the Billing Service

Introduction to the Billing Service

The Object Storage Service enables end users' operations and the size of the data to be recorded and generated as charging data records (CDRs). You can charge end users based on the CDRs.

For details, see OceanStor 9000 Charging Data Record API Guide.

CDR Generation and Storage

In the billing service, CDRs include detailed CDRs and stock CDRs. Generated CDRs are stored in OceanStor 9000.

  • Detail CDRs: Users' operations are objectively recorded, for example, uploading or downloading an object, and creating or deleting a bucket. CDRs are in a unit of an operation.
  • Stock CDRs: Users' usage of storage resources are recorded. The stock CDRs record the size of objects.

Accessing CDRs with SFTP

Billing services provide interfaces for transferring CDRs to the external by using the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP). OceanStor 9000 users can access OceanStor 9000 through SFTP clients to obtain CDRs, and analyze CDRs by referring to OceanStor 9000 Charging Data Record API Guide to charge end users for the storage resources.
