Configuring Common Parameters

This operation enables you to configure information about the regional location service (RLS) and global location service (GLS).

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Storage Region Settings > Common Parameter Settings.
  3. Set the common parameters and click Save.

    Table 6-1 describes the common parameters.
    NOTE:
    Generally, the global location service (GLS) public active (or standby) service address, GLS internal active (or standby) service address, regional location service (RLS) active (or standby) service address should be set to the LVS virtual IP address of the specified cluster.

    Region ID

    ID of the region where the current cluster resides (referred to as local region).
    NOTE:
    • The ID of each region must be unique.
    • This parameter cannot be modified after being set.

    A string of 1 to 32 characters, including letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). It must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen (-) or an underscore (_).

    Region Name

    Name of the local region.
    NOTE:
    • The name of each region must be unique.
    • This parameter cannot be modified after being set.

    [Value]

    A string of 1 to 127 characters, including letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). It must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen (-) or an underscore (_).

    RegionName

    Region Domain Name

    Domain name of the local region. It cannot be the subdomain name of the global domain name.
    NOTE:
    • Before modifying the Region Domain Name, log in to the external DNS of the Internet and intranet respectively to configure the new domain name, and the old domain name will be invalid afterwards. Log in to the DeviceManager again to modify the Region Domain Name, and the new domain name will be valid.
    • When modifying the Region Domain Name, formulate and import a new OBS HTTPS certificate. For details, see Security of Security Certificates and Keys > Security Certificate Management of the Object Storage Service > Replacing a Security Certificate for the Object Storage Service in OceanStor 9000Security Maintenance.

    [Value]

    • A string of 1 to 255 characters, including letters, digits, and hyphens (-). Hyphens (-) cannot be the start or end of a region domain name. Each subdomain name contains 1 to 63 characters. At least, a second-level domain name is created. A top-level domain name cannot contain digits only. Domain names at various levels are separated by periods (.).
    • The parameter value cannot be set to a subdomain name of the global domain name.

    Whether to enable the local region as the default region.

    This parameter cannot be modified after being set.

    Domain name of the global region.
    NOTE:
