Initializing the System

You can use the initial configuration wizard to quickly complete the initial configuration of the OceanStor 9000.


The OceanStor 9000 software has been installed.


If both the file system service and object storage service exist in one cluster, configure the initial configuration wizard. For details, see the OceanStor 9000 File System Administrator Guide.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Initial Configuration.
  3. Start the initial configuration wizard.
    1. Optional: On the Basic Information page, check the information of device and click Modify to change the password of the super administrator.
    2. Click Next. On the Device Time page, view the current system time and set the cluster time zone and external NTP server IP address based on site requirements.

      If the current system time is inconsistent with the actual time, go to Setting System Time.

    3. Click Next. Enable the email notification or SMS notification based on site requirements.
    4. Click Finish. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK to complete the initial configuration.
  4. Connect to the Keystone Server.

    Users of the object storage service are authenticated by the Keystone server. For details, see Connecting to the Keystone Server.
