Account Management Services

Account Management Services

You can manage Account such as create or delete an Account to use the object storage service.

The object storage service is available only with an Account. This section briefly describes the operations that can be performed to manage Accounts. For details, see OceanStor 9000 Object Storage Service (Compatible with OpenStack Swift APIs) API Reference.

You can perform the following operations to manage Accounts:
NOTE:
The administrator and super administrator in the following refer to permission of the Keystone servers rather than users of DeviceManager.
  • Create an account: The super administrator can directly create an account. Only the user having a tenant and the user's role having permission to create an account can perform this operation.
  • Delete an account: Only the super administrator can delete an account.
  • Query Account information: You can query the number of Containers and Objects, and used capacity of an Account.
  • List Containers in an Account: You can query the Container list of an Account.
  • Manage Account metadata: You can create, update, and delete Account metadata.
    NOTE:
The metadata here refers to the self-defined description about the Account instead of the internal metadata for system management. For example, when creating an Account, you define the metadata to mark the Account.
