Data Reconstruction

Data Reconstruction

If a disk or node fails, the OceanStor 9000 migrates data on the disk or node to another normal disk to ensure data integrity. Before data is reconstructed, the OceanStor 9000 employs a certain algorithm to ensure that the data is still available to users even though the protection level is degraded and I/O performance is compromised.

Data can be reconstructed only when the number of failed nodes does not exceed the limit specified by the current data protection level. For details, see Data Reconstruction Mechanism for Disk or Node Failures.
