Metadata Mirroring

The object storage service stores metadata in mirroring mode.

The object storage service employs the mirroring mode to protect metadata, enabling metadata to have higher protection level than common data. When a Container or an Object is being written on the OceanStor 9000, metadata of the Container or an Object and multiple metadata mirrors are generated. Both the metadata and its mirrors are written into the disks, with four copies in total, as shown in Figure 1-6.
