Setting the Alarm Dumping

After the alarm dumping function is enabled, the system will automatically dump system events and cleared alarms to a specific folder on the SFTP server. Dumped alarm is deleted from the system to release disk space.

Prerequisites

You have logged in to the DeviceManager as an administrator that has the permission. The following administrators have the permission:
  • Super administrator
  • Administrator

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Alarm Settings > Alarm Dump.
  3. Select Enabled.
  4. Modify alarm dump parameters and click Save. The related parameters are shown in Table 16-1 below.

    Simple password may cause security risk. Complicated password is recommended, for example, password contains uppercases, lowercases, digits and special characters.

    • It contains 1 to 63 characters.
    • The password cannot contain extended ASCII characters or Unicode characters. Otherwise, the password is invalid. It is recommended that the password contain characters from the following categories:
      • Base 10 digits (0-9)
      • English uppercase characters (A-Z)
      • English lowercase characters (a-z)
      • Space
      • Special characters such as [\]^_{|}~`@!"#$%&'()*+-./:;<=>?
