A necessary prerequisite for an end user to use the object storage service (compatible with OpenStack Swift APIs) is that the user has an account.

Users of the object storage service are authenticated by the Keystone server. The Keystone server is prepared by OceanStor 9000 operators.

After an administrator created and related Tenant, User, and Role on the Keystone server, end users can obtain the Tenant ID from the administrator and use the Tenant ID as the Account ID to send requests to OceanStor 9000.

For details about basic Keystone concepts and the authentication process, see Keystone Server Authentication.
