Auto Callback

Auto Callback

When the number you dialed does not respond, you can enable the auto callback (ACB) function.

The IP phone supports two ACB modes: ACB on busy and ACB on no answer.

NOTE:
  • Before using the ACB function, ensure that your account has been assigned the ACB rights on the server. For any questions, contact your system administrator.
  • In the IMS+UC network environment, the IP phone does not support ACB on no answer.
  • In the EC6.X network environment, voice calls are supported for automatic callback. To use the callback function for video calls, contact the system administrator.

Using the ACB on Busy Function

In the UC2.X or IMS+UC network environment

  1. If your IP phone is deployed in the UC2.X or IMS+UC network environment, you can register the ACB function as prompted when the called party is busy.

    NOTE:

    If the ACB function is successfully registered, the IP phone plays a registration success announcement.

  2. When detecting that the peer party is available, the system initiates a call to you.
  3. After you answer the call, the system initiates a call to the peer party.
  4. After the peer party answers the call, the call between you and the peer party is set up.

In the EC6.X network environment

  1. If your IP phone is deployed in the EC6.X network environment, you can register the ACB function by tapping when the called party is busy.

    NOTE:
    • If ACB registration is successful, is displayed in the status bar.
    • In the EC6.X network environment, the callback service for a maximum of five numbers can be registered. Each number corresponds to one callback record.

  2. When detecting that the peer party has any call record, your IP phone plays an announcement and the phone screen displays a message indicating that ACB is available.

    The ACB icon in the status bar changes to .

  3. In the notification area, select the account to call back and tap Callback. Your phone initiates a new call to the registered number.

    After the call is initiated, the callback record is deleted from the callback list.

  4. After the peer party answers the call, the call between you and the peer party is set up.

Using the ACB on No Answer Function

In the UC2.X network environment

  1. If your IP phone is deployed in the UC2.X network environment, you can register the ACB function as prompted when the called party does not answer the call.

    NOTE:

    If the ACB function is successfully registered, the IP phone plays a registration success announcement.

  2. When detecting that the peer party has a call record, the system initiates a call to you.
  3. After you answer the call, the system initiates a call to the peer party.
  4. After the peer party answers the call, the call between you and the peer party is set up.

In the EC6.X network environment

  1. If your IP phone is deployed in the EC6.X network environment, you can register the ACB function by tapping when the called party does not answer the call.

    NOTE:

    If ACB registration is successful, is displayed in the status bar.

  2. When detecting that the peer party has any call record, your IP phone plays an announcement and the phone screen displays a message indicating that ACB is available.

    The ACB icon in the status bar changes to .

  3. In the notification area, select the account to call back and tap Callback. Your phone initiates a new call to the registered number.

Canceling the ACB Service

In the EC6.X network environment, you can cancel the registered ACB function.

  1. Put your finger in the middle of the status bar and swipe down to expand the notification area.

    In the notification area, you can view the registered ACB services, including the peer party's account and the date when the service was registered.

  2. Select an ACB service and tap Cancel.

    If you cancel the registered ACB service, disappears from the status bar.
