Hunt Group

Hunt Group

In an enterprise, employees in the same field can be added to a hunt group. After a user dials the access code of a hunt group, the system calls users in the hunt group, and the phones in the hunt group ring in the specified ringing mode (simultaneous, sequential, or cyclic ringing). If no one in the hunt group answers the call, the call is forwarded to the hunt group's voicemail or a specified number.

Hunt Group Sign-In/Sign-Out

Two sign-in modes are available for a hunt group: dynamic sign-in (default) and static sign-in. A maximum of 10 hunt groups can be configured on a phone.

  • Dynamic sign-in: In this mode, users can manually sign in to and out of a hunt group. If authentication is required, a 6-digit password is required during sign-in and sign-out.
NOTE:
  • Obtain the authentication password from your system administrator.
  • If you have entered an incorrect password for three consecutive times, your sign-in or sign-out fails.
  • Static sign-in: In this mode, users sign in automatically and cannot sign out.

Tap in the hunt group widget with the hunt group access code configured. If the "signed in" message is displayed and the icon changes to , your account has successfully signed in to the corresponding hunt group.

If you want to sign out, tap .

NOTE:
  • If your account signs in automatically, your account cannot sign out even if you tap .
  • For details about how to configure the hunt group widget, see Hunt Group.

Hunt Group Call

The call to a hunt group will be released, placed in the queue, forwarded to the hunt group's voicemail, or forwarded to a specified number based on the preset policy when no one answers the call or has signed in, all members are busy or offline, or the ringing time reaches the timeout duration.

When the phone has voice messages for the hunt group, is displayed in the voicemail list. As long as a member in a hunt group listens to the voice message for the hunt group, the voice message is automatically canceled on the other members' phones. For details about how to retrieve a voice message for a hunt group, see Voicemail.

NOTE:
  • For hunt group members, the hunt group service takes precedence over the call forward all and DND services.
  • The phone supports distinctive ringtones for incoming calls to a hunt group. For details about how to set a ringtone for a hunt group, see Distinctive Ring.
  • On the notification screen of an incoming call to a hunt group, the calling party's number and name as well as the hunt group access code are displayed.
