Related Operations in the Telepresence Environment

Related Operations in the Telepresence Environment

In the telepresence environment, the phone supports basic calling, telepresence conference joining, and basic conference control operations.

Telepresence Calling

  • When a call comes in, you can choose to answer, ignore, or reject the call.
  • During a call, you can perform basic operations such as mute, two-stage dialing, and video switching. For details, see Performing Operations During a Call.

Joining a Telepresence Conference

The phone allows you to answer an incoming conference call or directly dial a conference access code to join the conference. During a call with a telepresence hard terminal (for example, TE30), the telepresence hard terminal escalates this two-party call to a three-party conference. In this way, the phone is invited to a telepresence conference.

After you join a conference, you can view the video of other participants and perform mute and unmute operations.

NOTE:

If the telepresence conference you join is the one held on a 9 series MCU, you can also view the data (desktop or application) shared by other participants.

If you want to leave a conference, directly hang up.

Creating a Video Conference

From V200R003C00SPCa00, eSpace 8950 can work with VC V500R002C00 to actively convene a multi-party video conference.

NOTE:
  • The function of initiating a multi-party call from a terminal is a unique function that Huawei provides for holding conferences. This function is convenient, meeting the requirements in more diversified scenarios.
  • The IP phone as the moderator can support a conference with at most 20 participants, of which at most 16 participants can join the conference in video mode. The rest participants can join the conference only in audio mode.

You can create a video conference using either of the two methods described in Table 43-1.
