Pickup

Prerequisites

  • The designated pickup service is enabled on the server and IP phone for both the pickup party and the called party.
  • The called party has configured or not has configured a designated pickup number.

Using Pickup

  • A designated pickup number is configured.
    Procedure:
    1. The called party's phone rings and the Incoming call for designated pickup dialog box is displayed on the pickup party's phone.
    2. The pickup party can tap to answer the call or tap reject the call.

    Example:

    A is a common user, B and C have subscribed to the Pickup service, B designates C as the pickup party, and C is idle.

    1. A calls B.
    2. B is alerted, and A hears the ring back tone.
    3. C's phone rings. The Incoming call for designated pickup dialog box is displayed on the screen.
    4. C taps . The call is set up between A and C.
    NOTE:

    When the designated pickup user receives multiple calls, the corresponding dialog boxes are displayed on the user's phone screen. The user can select the call to be picked up.

  • No designated pickup number is configured.

    Procedure:

    1. The called party's phone rings and the pickup party taps in Quick Setting.
    2. Enter the number of a pickup user and tap .

    Example:

    A is a common user, B and C have subscribed to the Pickup service, B does not set a designated pickup user, and C is idle.

    1. A calls B.
    2. B's phone rings, and A hears the ringback tone.
    3. C taps in Quick Setting. The dialing page is displayed.
    4. C enters B's number and taps . The call is set up between A and C.
