Answering Incoming Calls

Answering Incoming Calls

When your IP phone is in idle state and receives an incoming call, you can pick up the phone to answer it.


If you have stored the calling party's name, phone number, department, position, and profile picture in your contact list or directory, all such information is displayed on your phone screen.

You can answer a call in different ways. For detailed operations, see Table 5-1.

Answer with the speaker

Press .

If you have set the audio source to speaker, you can tap Answer or tap the line button corresponding to the incoming call to answer it with the speaker.

Answer with a headset

Tap .

If you have set the audio source to headset, you can tap Answer or tap the line button corresponding to the incoming call to answer it with the headset.


Ensure that your phone has connected to a headset.

Answer by tapping the icon

Tap in the incoming call screen.

If you have enabled automatic video call placing or answering, your phone will automatically start video call answering when a call comes in, irrespective of whether you answer it using a handset, speaker, or headset. If you do not want to use video call answering, tap Audio Answer.
