Pickup

Prerequisites

  • The designated pickup service is enabled on the server and phone for both the pickup party and the called party.
  • The called party has configured or not has configured a designated pickup number.

Using Call Pickup

  • A designated pickup number is configured.
    Procedure:
    1. The called party's phone rings and the Incoming call dialog box is displayed on the pickup party's phone.

In the Incoming call dialog box, the status icon of the pickup party is displayed. If the icon is green, the pickup party's phone also rings. If the icon is red, the pickup party is answering another call.

    2. The pickup party can press the Pickup softkey or a programmable button configured with the pickup function to answer the call or press the Cancel softkey to reject the call.

    Example:

A is a common user, B and C have subscribed to the Pickup service, B designates C as the pickup party, and C is idle.

    1. A calls B.
    2. B's phone rings, and A hears the ring back tone.
    3. C's phone rings. The Incoming call dialog box is displayed on the screen.
    4. C presses the Pickup softkey. The call is set up between A and C.
  • No designated pickup number is configured.

    Procedure:

    1. The called party's phone rings and the pickup party presses the Pickup softkey or a programmable button configured with the pickup function.
    2. Enter the number of a pickup user and press the Pickup softkey.

    Example:

A is a common user, B and C have subscribed to the Pickup service, B does not set a designated pickup user, and C is idle.

    1. A calls B.
    2. B's phone rings, and A hears the ring back tone.
    3. C presses the Pickup softkey. The dialing page is displayed.
    4. C enters B's number and presses the Pickup softkey. The call is set up between A and C.
  • In the UC2.X or EC6.X network environment, when multiple calls are made to a pickup group, the following functions are provided:
    • You can press the left or right arrow buttons to select the call you want to pick up.
    • You can press the programmable button configured with the pickup function and select the call you want to pick up from the incoming call list.
  • In the IMS+UC network environment, when a call that requires your pickup service comes in, you can press Pickup to answer the call. When multiple calls come in, you can select one from the pickup list and answer the selected call.
