Phone Lock

Enabling the Phone Lock Function

You can perform the following steps to enable the phone lock function:

  1. On the home screen, choose Apps > System > Phone Lock.

    The Phone Lock screen is displayed.

  2. Press Enable.

    The Lock After parameter is displayed.

  3. Select a value and press Select.

    • The default phone lock delay is 30 minutes. For details about how to unlock a phone, see Phone Unlock.
    • If you do not set a password after enabling the phone lock function, the default lock password is empty. On the Phone Lock screen, users can press Unlock > OK to unlock the phone. To ensure the security of the IP phone, set the unlock password after enabling the phone lock function. For details, see Lock Password.

Disabling the Phone Lock Function

You can perform the following steps to disable the phone lock function:

  1. On the home screen, choose Apps > System > Phone Lock.

    The Phone Lock screen is displayed.

  2. Select Phone Lock and press Disable.

Lock Password

You can specify a phone lock password depending on your needs.

  1. On the home screen, choose Apps > System > Lock Password.

    The Lock Password screen is displayed.

  2. Enter the old password and the new password, and reenter the new password.

    • If you set the phone lock password for the first time, enter the new password and confirm password.
    • If you enter an incorrect old password five consecutive times, wait 1 minute and reenter the password.

  3. Press Done.

    • If the Lock Password option is not displayed on your phone, contact your system administrator.
    • To ensure phone security, periodically change your phone lock password. The password must contain at least four characters. Ensure that the password meets complexity requirements.
