Function

The eam.sh command is used to run commands related to the EAM module.

Format

eam.sh { -h | -a | deleteEnclosureInfo [SN] | showenclosure| showevent | showloopmap [mac] | showcableglobal | showcableinfo [topoType] | showfastwriteportinfo [controll_id] | closeportfastwrite [port_number] | setframecascademode [depth] | ipv6_autoconf {on|off|show} }

Deletes all records of an enclosure based on the enclosure SN.

Displays enclosure records.

Displays the network map of an enclosure based on the enclosure MAC address.

Displays the global cable detection information.

showcableinfo [topoType]

Displays information about all cables.

closeportfastwrite [port_number]

Disables the fast write function of a port.

To obtain the value, run "eam.sh showfastwriteportinfo " command.

showfastwriteportinfo [controller_id]

Shows the information about ports that have enabled the fast write function.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3.

setframecascademode [depth]

Sets the number of cascaded disk enclosures.

The value can be "1", "2", or "4".

ipv6_autoconf {on|off|show}

Whether to enable/disable or query the IPv6 autoconf function.

The value can be "on", "off", or "show".

Usage Guidelines

The eam.sh command is used to view and delete the records of an enclosure and view global cable detection information and information about all cables. The functions are as follows:

  • View enclosure access events.
  • View enclosure records.
  • View the enclosure network map.
  • Delete all records of an enclosure.
  • View global cable detection information.
  • View information about all cables.
  • Show the information about ports that have enabled the fast write function.
  • Disable the fast write function of a port.
  • Set the number of cascaded disk enclosures.
  • Enable or disable the IPv6 autoconf function.

Example

  • Display functions of each subcommand of the EAM module.
    Storage: minisystem> eam.sh -a 
    eam.sh deleteEnclosureInfo [SN]  :delete enclosure information by the serial number of the enclosure information, [SN] is the serial number of enclosure. 
    eam.sh showenclosure             :show record of enclosure. 
    eam.sh showevent                 :show record of enclosure event. 
    eam.sh showloopmap [mac]         :show record of loopmap by the mac address of enclosure, [MAC] is the mac address of enclosure. The value of mac is a 64-bit unsigned number.
  • Show the information about ports that have enabled the fast write function on controller "0A".
    Storage: minisystem>eam.sh showfastwriteportinfo 0A

  • Set the number of cascaded disk enclosures.
    Storage: minisystem> eam.sh setframecascademode 4

  • Disable the IPv6 autoconf function.
    Storage: minisystem> eam.sh ipv6_autoconf off 
    WARNING: You are about to disable the IPv6 autoconf function. After this operation, the port cannot automatically obtain the IPv6 address in SLAAC mode. After this function is disabled, you need to manually delete the automatically obtained IPv6 addresses on each controller by running the "ifconfig" or "ip" command. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the automatically obtained IPv6 addresses are not in use.
