Function

The change port eth_network_segment command is used to set the switch that determines whether service IP addresses and management IP addresses can reside in the same network segment.

Switch that determines whether service IP addresses and management IP addresses can reside in the same network segment.

The value can be "on" or "off", where:

  • "on": Service IP addresses and management IP addresses can reside in the same network segment.
  • "off": Service IP addresses and management IP addresses cannot reside in the same network segment.

Usage Guidelines

After the switch is turned on, service IP addresses and management IP addresses can reside in the same network segment.

Example

  • Enable service IP addresses and management IP addresses to reside in the same network segment.
    developer:/>change port eth_network_segment switch=on 
    DANGER: You are about to set management IP addresses and service IP addresses on the same network segment. This operation may cause services that actively connect to external servers unavailable. Such services include SNMP, syslog, Email, AD, NIS, DNS, FTP, LDAP.
