The change overload_control general command is used to change overload control parameters.

Indicates the status of overload control.

The value can be "yes" and "no", where

  • "yes": to enable overload control.
  • "no": to disable overload control.

max_inner_iops=?

Maximum inner IOPS.

The value ranges from 1 to 9999999.

min_inner_iops=?

Minimum inner IOPS.

The value ranges from 1 to 9999999.

max_inner_bandwidth=?

Maximum inner bandwidth.

The value ranges from 1 to 999999.

min_inner_bandwidth=?

Minimum inner bandwidth.

The value ranges from 1 to 999999.

cpu_overload_threshold=?

CPU overload threshold.

The value ranges from 1 to 99.

Usage Guidelines

Run the "change overload_control general" command to set the overload control switch, inner maximum IOPS, inner minimum IOPS, inner maximum bandwidth, inner minimum bandwidth, CPU overload threshold, overload alarm time, unmap maximum bandwidth, and unmap minimum bandwidth.

Example

  • To enable overload control, run the following command.
    developer:/>change overload_control general enabled=yes 
    Command executed successfully.
  • To disable overload control, run the following command.
    developer:/>change overload_control general enabled=no 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Modify overload control parameters. Set the maximum internal IOPS to "100" and minimum internal IOPS to "20".
    developer:/>change overload_control general max_inner_iops=100 min_inner_iops=20 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Modify overload control parameters. Set the maximum internal bandwidth to "50" MBps and minimum internal bandwidth to "10" MBps.
    developer:/>change overload_control general max_inner_bandwidth=50 min_inner_bandwidth=10 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Modify overload control parameters. Set the CPU overload threshold to 90.
    developer:/>change overload_control general cpu_overload_threshold=90 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Change the overload alarm time to 600 seconds.
    developer:/>change overload_control general alarm_time=600

  • Modify overload control parameters. Set the maximum unmap bandwidth to "700" MBps and minimum unmap bandwidth to "300" MBps.
