The command is used to modify the bay_config.ini file, including the enclosure ID, number of controllers, and IP address bytes.

Format { -i BayID | -c ControllerTotal | -t BayType }* [ -n ] [ -l ] [ -s ] [ -d | -a ]






Indicates an enclosure ID.

The value ranges from 0 to 7.


Indicates the number of clusters.

The value ranges from 1 to 16.


Indicates an enclosure type.

The value can be 0, 1, or 2.

  • 0: disk enclosure with 2.5-inch disks.
  • 1: disk enclosure with 3.5-inch disks.
  • 2: disk enclosure with both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch disks.


Indicates that the enclosure ID is not written to the backplane.This parameter is invalid currently.



Indicates that bay_conf.ini is not synchronized to the peer controller.



Synchronizes to the second backup point.This parameter is invalid currently.



Deletes IP address bytes.



Adds default IP address bytes.



Minisystem mode

Usage Guidelines



Modify the bay_config.ini file of local and remote controllers.

Storage: minisystem> -i 0 -c 2 -t 0 -a 
Write bay config to startup disk successfully.
