System Response

The following table describes the parameter meanings.

Parameter

Meaning

Destination

Destination network or destination host.

Gateway

Gateway address.

Genmask

Netmask for the destination net.

Flags

Routing tag.

Metric

Distance to the target (usually counted in hops). It is not used by recent kernels.

Ref

Number of references to this route. It is not used by recent kernels.

Use

Number of times that a route is used. The parameter is used to roughly estimate the network traffic to a specified network address.

Iface

Interface to which packets for this route will be sent.
