Function

The change service ndmp_config command is used to modify the NDMP configuration.

Format

change service ndmp_config { is_enabled=? | port=? | ip=? | restore_quota=? | support_snapshot=? | ignore_ctime=? | pim_buffer=? | prefetch_enable=? | readdir_plus_enable=? | data_connect_mode=? | fs_global_scope=? | ads_enable=? | backup_thread_num=? } *

is_enabled=?

Whether to enable the NDMP service.

The value can be yes or no, where:

  • yes: enables the NDMP service.
  • no: disables NDMP service.

port=?

Port number.

The value must be an integer from 10000 to 10099.

ip=?

Listening IP address.

restore_quota=?

Quota restored to the file system.

The value must be an integer from 0 to 100.

ignore_ctime=?

Whether to ignore ctime during backup.

The value can be yes or no, where:

  • yes: ctime ignored.
  • no: ctime not ignored.

fs_global_scope=?

Switch for enabling the vStore file system to be globally available.

The value should be the following values:

  • 1: Enabled.
  • 0: Disabled.

Example

  • Modify the NDMP configuration.
    admin:/>change service ndmp_config port=10000 ip=192.168.0.1 restore_quota=95 ignore_ctime=no 
    WARNING:You are about to change the monitoring IP address or monitoring port.  
    1. After this operation, the NDMP service will be automatically restarted. As a result, the NDMP service of all the vStores will be interrupted. 
    2. After the configurations take effect, the NDMP service of some vStores will become unavailable. 
    Suggestion: After performing this operation, vStore administrators must enable all the monitoring IP addresses to ensure that vStores can access the NDMP service normally. 
    Have you read warning message carefully?(y/n)y 
      
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Modify the NDMP configuration.
    admin:/>change service ndmp_config is_enabled=yes 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Close the NDMP service.
    admin:/>change service ndmp_config is_enabled=no 
    WARNING:You are about to disable the NDMP service. This operation causes the NDMP service provided by the storage device unavailable.  
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the NDMP service is no longer needed.

  • Modify the NDMP configuration.
