Function

The delete storage_pool command is used to delete a storage pool.

Format

delete storage_pool pool_id=?

Parameters

ID of a storage pool that you want to delete.

To obtain the value, run "show storage_pool general".

Usage Guidelines

  • Before running this command, ensure that the selected storage pool is exactly the one you want to delete.
  • A storage pool that contains LUNs cannot be deleted. In this condition, you must delete the LUNs before you can delete the storage pool.
  • Running this command will erase details on the deleted storage pool from the storage system.

Example

To delete storage pool "0", run the following command:

admin:/>delete storage_pool pool_id=0 
CAUTION: You are going to delete storage pool. 
Suggestion: Before you perform this operation, ensure you have selected the correct storage pool. 
Do you wish to continue?(y/n)y
