export configuration_coffer


The export configuration_coffer command is used to export the configuration file that resides in the storage system's disks. Such a configuration file stores important configuration information about components and services in the storage system. Export configuration data regularly and save it securely so that you can restore the configuration after the storage system fails.


export configuration_coffer coffer_disk=? ip=? user=? password=? db_file=? [ port=? ] [ protocol=? ]






Logical ID of a coffer disk.

On engine 0, the disk logical ID ranges from 0 to 3; on engine 1, the disk logical ID ranges from 32 to 35. The SSD logical ID can be 256, 260, 264, 268, 272, 276, 280, 284, 288, 292, 304, or 308.


IP address of the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server or a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) server to which you want to export a configuration file.



User name for logging in to an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The value contains 1 to 64 characters.


Password for logging in to an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The value contains 1 to 64 characters.


File name of and path to a configuration file on an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The file name extension must be .dat. The file name must be supported by the FTP and SFTP server.


Port of an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The value ranges from 1 to 65535.

  • If "protocol" is set to "FTP", the default value is "21".
  • If "protocol" is set to "SFTP", the default value is "22".


Protocol type.

The value can be "FTP" or "SFTP". The default value is "SFTP".

To ensure the security of data transfer, you are advised to use Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

Usage Guidelines

  • This command allows you to export a configuration file only to an FTP server or an SFTP server connected to the storage system.

Prerequisites for using this command:

  • The FTP server or SFTP server is accessible to the storage system.
  • The FTP service or SFTP service on the server has been enabled.
  • The folder for storing a configuration file has been created.
  • The file name extension must be .dat. Otherwise, the exported configuration file cannot be used for importing configuration data.
  • If the storage system serves as a server in the file transfer with external systems, it supports the SFTP service only. If the storage system serves as a client, it supports both the FTP and SFTP services.


Export disk configuration data to an FTP server, where the IP address of the FTP server is "", the user name for logging in to the FTP server is "admin", the password is "123456", the exported disk configuration data will be stored in the root directory of the FTP server, and the exported events will be saved as the "coffer.dat" file.
