os useradd


The os useradd command is used to create a common user.


os useradd username=?






Name of the common user to be created.

The value contains 8 to 20 characters, including digits, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and underscores (_).

Usage Guidelines

  • This command provides an interactive mode for entering passwords. When you are entering a password, nothing is displayed on the screen.
  • The password must contain at least eight case-sensitive characters.
  • The password must contain special characters (`~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | [ { } ] ; : ' ", < . > / ?) and spaces.
  • The password must contain at least two of the following types:

    –lowercase letters

    –uppercase letters


  • The password must be different from the user name and the user name typed backward.


Create a common user.

_super_admin:/diagnose>os useradd testuser 
New password: 
Retype new password: 
passwd: password updated successfully 
Add username testuser succeed.
