change disk_domain leveling

Function

The change disk_domain leveling command is used to manually start or suspend the leveling task of a storage tier in a specified disk domain on the local controller.

Format

change disk_domain leveling disk_domain_id=? tier_id=? [ action=? ]

Parameters

disk_domain_id=?

Disk domain ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show disk_domaingeneral" command.

tier_id=?

Tier ID of a storage pool.

The value can be "SSD", "SAS", or "NearLine_SAS", where:

  • "SSD":Tier 0, SSD.
  • "SAS":Tier 1, SAS.
  • "NearLine_SAS":Tier 2, NL-SAS.

action=?

Starts or suspends a leveling task.

The value can be "start" or "pause", where:

  • "start": starts a leveling task.
  • "pause": suspends a leveling task.

The default value is "start".

Example

  • To start the leveling of the SAS tier of disk domain 0, run the following command:
    developer:/>change disk_domain leveling disk_domain_id=0 tier_id=SAS action=start 
    CAUTION: You are about to start or suspend the leveling task on the local controller. 
    This command is used to start or pause the balancing task related to the disk domain whose working controller is the local controller in the local engine. If you want to start or pause the balancing task related to a disk domain in all engines, run this command on the working controller in each engine. 
    Suggestion: Before running this command, determine whether the balancing task related to the disk domain whose working controller is the local controller needs to be started or paused. 
    Do you wish to continue?(y/n)y 
    Command executed successfully. 
    developer:/>
  • Suspend the leveling task of the SAS tier in disk domain "0".
    developer:/>change disk_domain leveling disk_domain_id=0 tier_id=SAS action=pause 
    CAUTION: You are about to start or suspend the leveling task on the local controller. 
    This command is used to start or pause the balancing task related to the disk domain whose working controller is the local controller in the local engine. If you want to start or pause the balancing task related to a disk domain in all engines, run this command on the working controller in each engine.
