Logging In to the CLI of a Data Switch

Logging In to the CLI of a Data Switch

After logging in to the command-line interface (CLI) of a data switch, you can view information about the data switch.

You can log in to the CLI of the data switch using either of the following methods:

  • Through the serial port of the data switch

Use a serial cable to connect the maintenance terminal to the data switch's serial port. Start the serial port terminal software on the maintenance terminal, and enter your password to go to serial port mode.

  • Through the network port of the data switch

Use a network cable to connect the maintenance terminal to the data switch's network port. Then log in to the CLI using the SSH remote login software (such as PUTTY).

NOTE:
  • By default, the user name of the data switch is _user_admin or _super_admin and the password is Admin@dsw. Account _super_admin is used for local login by a root user while account _user_admin is used for SSH login by a non-root user.
  • Default vlan IP addresses of data switch 0: 172.16.192.132 for vlan eth0.100 and 172.16.194.132 for vlan eth1.100.
  • Default vlan IP addresses of data switch 1: 172.16.194.133 for vlan eth0.100 and 172.16.193.133 for vlan eth1.100.
  • You are advised to change your login password periodically in the future by executing the os passwdmod command. This reduces the password leakage risks.
