Example

  • To rescue the LUN whose ID is "0", run the following command.
    developer:/>change dedup_lun rescue controller=0A lun_id=0 action=start
DANGER: You are about to rescue the LUN. When performing this operation, note the following:
    1. Before the rescuing, ensure that the storage pool to which the LUN belongs is normal and 10 percent free space is reserved.
    2. During the rescuing, do not perform any operations on the storage system or the LUN.
    3. Rescuing a LUN may lose some data on the LUN and rescue some old data or deleted data.
    4. After successful rescuing, the available space of the LUN may be greater than, smaller than, or equal to the available capacity before the rescuing.
    5. If data is added or modified upon successful rescuing, the deduplication and compression ratio may decrease.
    6. After successful rescuing, run the confirm command to confirm the rescuing. If the rescuing fails or is interrupted, run the cancel command to cancel the rescuing.
Suggestion: Perform this operation based on customer requirements.
