upgrade svp vm_system


The upgrade svp vm_system command is used to upgrade the operating system of SVP VMs.


upgrade svp vm_system ip=? user=? password=? file_name=? [ port=? ] [ protocol=? ]






IP address of the FTP/SFTP server.



User allowed by the FTP/SFTP server.

The value contains 1 to 64 characters without colons (:).


Password of a user allowed by the FTP/SFTP server.

The value contains 1 to 64 characters.


Name of the operating system file.



Port of the FTP/SFTP server.

The value ranges from 1 to 65,535. The default value is 22.


Protocol used for transmitting the new certificate and private key.

The value can be "ftp" or "sftp". The default value is "sftp".



Usage Guidelines

This command cannot be executed on the CLI to which you log in using the controller's management IP address. Before running this command, log in to the CLI using the SVP's management IP address.


Upgrade the operating system of SVP VMs.

admin />upgrade svp vm_system ip= user=admin password=****** file_name=os.tgz port=22 protocol=sftp 
DANGER:You are about to upgrade the VM operating system.This operation restarts the VM. 
Suggestion: The disk array cannot be managed during the restart. Ensure that no management software is used.
