Function

The create file_extension_filter cifs command is used to create a file name extension filtering rule for a CIFS share.

create file_extension_filter cifs share_id=? file_extension_name=? rule_type=?

share_id=?

Share ID.

An integer from 0 to 2^64-1.

file_extension_name=?

File name extension.

The file name extension contains 1 to 127 visible ASCII characters, and contains only digits, letters, space, and special characters including (!\"#$%&\'()*+\,-.\/\:;\<=\>?@[\\]^_`{\|}~). Wildcard character * can only be the last character. For example, the file name extension can be txt, TXT, T?X, or Tx*.

rule_type=?

Rule type.

The parameter value can only be "only_allow" or "only_deny".

Usage Guidelines

  • Parameters "share_id=?", "file_extension_name=?", and "rule_type=?" must be entered at the same time.

Example

  • Create a file name extension filtering rule for a CIFS share.
    admin:/>create file_extension_filter cifs share_id=4 file_extension_name=txt rule_type=only_allow 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Query the created file name extension filtering rule.
    admin:/>show file_extension_filter cifs share_id=4
