change logical_port failback

Function

The change logical_port failback command is used to fail back a logical port.

Format

change logical_port failback logical_port_name=?

change logical_port failback service_type=? controller=?

logical_port_name=?

Logical port name. The value is 1 to 31 characters in length. Characters include numbers, letters, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). OceanStor 2200 V3 (8 GB memory per controller) and 2600 V3 Video Surveillance Edition storage systems do not support this parameter.

To obtain the value, run "show logical_port general".

service_type

Service type of the logical port.

The value is SAN.

controller=?

Controller ID.

To obtain the value, run "show controller general".

Usage Guidelines

Before performing this operation, determine whether the modification is necessary.

Example

  • Fail back logical port lif1.
    admin:/>change logical_port failback logical_port_name=lif1 
    DANGER: You are about to perform logical port failback. This operation may interrupt services or cause service exceptions. Before performing this operation, determine whether the modification is necessary.

  • Fail back the SAN logical port of controller 0A.
    developer:/>change logical_port failback service_type=SAN controller=0A 
    DANGER: You are about to perform port failback. This operation may make the link to be unavailable for a short time.  
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure the system is in normal status, and do not change the system network during failback.
