Function

The showfan command is used to show the information about a fan.

fanindex

Fan group ID.

The value range of the fan group ID varies with storage device types. For 2U storage devices and 4 U high-density disk enclosure storage devices, the value is "0" or "1". For 4 U standard disk enclosure storage devices, the value is "0", "1", "2", or "3". A hexadecimal value is also supported. The values are described as follows:

  • "0": fan group 0.
  • "1": fan group 1.
  • "2": fan group 2.
  • "3": fan group 3.

The following table describes the parameter meanings.

Parameter

Meaning

Present

Fan present status. YES indicates that fans are present while NO indicates that fans are absent.

Alarm

Fan alarm level. 0 indicates that fans in the fan group are normal. 1 indicates that some fans in the fan group are faulty. 3 indicates that fans spin down.

Fault Id

Fault ID of fans in the fan group indicating which fans are faulty. 0 indicates that no fan is faulty.

Level

Fan speed gear.

Rev

Fan rotational speed.
