change odx odx_enabled

Function

The change odx odx_enabled command is used to set the switch of ODX.

Format

change odx odx_enabled enabled=?

Switch of ODX.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The ODX will be enabled.
  • "no": The ODX will be disabled.

Usage Guidelines

To enable or disable the ODX function on a storage system, perform the following steps.

  • Run the following command to enable or disable the ODX function.
    • Run the "change odx odx_enabled enabled=yes" command to enable the ODX function.
    • Run the "change odx odx_enabled enabled=no" command to disable the ODX function.
  • Restart the storage system (this operation stops all services running on the storage system).
  • After the device is powered on, uninstall physical disks and virtual disks generated by the multipathing software in the disk manager for mapped LUNs and rescan the disks (that is, operate the disks as new disks after clearing residual disk information).

Example

To set the switch of ODX, run the following command.

developer:/>change odx odx_enabled enabled=no 
WARNING: You are about to enable or disable the ODX function, this operation may cause some influence of the function. 
Suggestion: After performing this operation, complete the following operations: 
1. Restart the storage system (this operation stops all services running on the storage system). 
2. After the device is powered on, uninstall physical disks and virtual disks generated by the multipathing software in the disk manager for mapped LUNs and rescan the disks (that is, operate the disks as new disks after clearing residual disk information).
