Function

The delete file_system force command is used to delete file systems.

Format

delete file_system force file_system_id_list=? [ delete_parent_snapshot=? ]

file_system_id_list=?

Indicates the list of file system IDs.

  • Multiple IDs are separated by commas (,), or ID range separated by hyphens(-).
  • The ID is an integer from 0 to 65535.

delete_parent_snapshot =?

Whether to delete the associated snapshot in the parent file system.

The value can be "yes" or "no". The default value is "no".

Usage Guidelines

  • This command will delete the information about the file system from the system, and data in the file system will be lost.
  • Before running this command, ensure that you have selected correct file system, and services of the file system have been stopped.
  • If the file system has been shared, delete the share before running the command, otherwise the file system cannot be deleted.
  • OceanStor 6800 V3/2200 V3/2600 V3/5300 V3/2600 V3 for Video/5500 V3/5600 V3/5800 V3 storage systems support this command.

Example

  • To delete the single file system, run the following command:.
    developer:/>delete file_system force file_system_id_list=3 
    DANGER: You are going to delete filesystem.This operation deletes the data stored on the filesystem. 
    Suggestion: Before you perform this operation, ensure that the data on the filesystem has been backed up or is allowed to delete. 
    Have you read danger alert message carefully?(y/n)y 
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y 
    Delete file system 3 successfully.
  • To delete multiple file systems, run the following command:.
    developer:/>delete file_system force file_system_id_list=3,4 
    DANGER: You are going to delete filesystem.This operation deletes the data stored on the filesystem. 
    Suggestion: Before you perform this operation, ensure that the data on the filesystem has been backed up or is allowed to delete.
