Managing Alarms and Events
This section deals with managing and handling alarms and events. It covers the alarm mechanism, alarm and event notification methods, and the alarm dump function.
- The event notification function is supported by V300R006C50 and later.
- For a 6 U storage system, its functions of email notification, Syslog notification, and alarm dump may fail if the management networks of controller enclosures 0 and 1 are abnormal at the same time.
An alarm severity indicates the impact of an alarm on user services. Table 5-11 describes the four severity levels.
