(Optional) Removing Filler Panels
If the cabinet has filler panels, remove them before installing devices. If the cabinet does not have filler panels, skip this procedure.
Prerequisites
The following installation tools are ready:
- M3 to M6 Phillips screwdriver
- Floating nut mounting bar
- (Optional) M3 to M6 flat-head screwdriver (if there is no floating nut mounting bar)
Procedure
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to unfasten the M6 screws.
- Remove the filler panels from the cabinet.
- Remove the floating nuts.
If a floating nut mounting bar is unavailable, you can remove the floating nuts by using a flat-head screwdriver. When using a flat-head screwdriver to remove floating nuts, do not apply excessive force and pay attention not to injure your hands or damage storage devices.
- Pull one foot of the floating nut downward by using a floating nut mounting bar, and take the floating nut out of the square hole, as shown in Figure 5-40.
- Repeat Step 3.1 to remove other floating nuts.
