Checking a Third-Party Cabinet
If you are installing a device in a third-party cabinet, check the cabinet first to ensure that it meets the conditions for installation.
Before installing hardware, a third-party cabinet provided by a customer must be checked both by the customer and by a Huawei hardware installation engineer to ensure that it meets the requirements for installing and operating devices. Table A-1 and Table A-2 list the check items.

The power supply capability of the cabinet meets the requirements. |
Select |
□Yes □No |
N/A |
|
The connector of the PDU power cable plug faces backwards. |
Select |
□Yes □No |
If the connector of the PDU power cable faces the side, the FRUs cannot be removed and inserted. |
|
The number of power sockets for each power supply in each cabinet is sufficient (C13 specifications). |
Select |
□Yes □No |
The number of power sockets required by each device is as follows: 2 U disk and controller integration, and 4 U disk enclosure: 2 |
|
Is the PDU width greater than 50 mm? |
Select |
□Yes □No |
If the PDU width is greater than 50 mm, the PDU may interfere with the device, affecting the removal and installation of interface modules. |
|
What is the power socket type? |
Select |
□ IEC standards
|
The power port of the storage device is C14. The C13 port must be provided inside the cabinet. If not, replace the PDU onsite. |
|
Is there a ground point? |
Select |
□Yes □No |
For DC models, ground points must be reserved in the cabinet for device grounding. 2 U disk and controller integration, and 4 U disk enclosure require two ground points. A high-density disk enclosure requires one ground point. |
