Viewing NFS Share Information

Viewing NFS Share Information

This section describes how to view NFS share information, including the NFS share list, clients, and share options.

Prerequisites

An NFS share has been created.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Share > NFS (Linux/UNIX/MAC).
  3. In the NFS share list, view the NFS share information.

    Table 5-23 describes the related parameters.

    Description

    Share Name

    Name of the NFS share.

    Share Path

    Path of the NFS share.

    ID

    ID of the NFS share.

    Description

    Description of the NFS share.

    Character Encoding

    Clients communicate with a storage system using codes. Codes configured on an NFS share should be the same as that of the client. These codes apply to names and metadata of shared files, but do not change the codes of file data. Codes include:

    • UTF-8

      International code set

    • EUC-JP

      euc-j*[ ja ] code set

    • JIS

      JIS code set

    • S-JIS

      cp932*[ ja_jp.932 ] code set

    • ZH

      Simplified Chinese code set, in compliance with GB2312

    • GBK

      Simplified Chinese code set, in compliance with GB2312

    • EUC-TW

      Traditional Chinese code set, in compliance with CNS11643

    • BIG5

      cp950 traditional Chinese code set

    • DE

      German character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • PT

      Portuguese character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • ES

      Spanish character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • FR

      French character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • IT

      Italian character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • KO

      cp949 Korean code set

  4. In the NFS share list, select an NFS share. In Client Information, check the permission of the client for this NFS share.

    Table 5-24 describes the related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name or IP Address

    Name or service IP address of the client.

    Type

    Client type, including:

    • Host

      Applicable to clients in a non-domain environment.

    • Network group

      Applicable to clients in an LDAP or NIS domain.

    Permission Level

    Permission for the client to access the NFS share, including:

    • Read-only

      Only reading the files in the share is allowed.

    • Read-write

      Any operation is allowed.

    ID

    Client ID.
