    Description

    Description about the NFS share.

    [Value range]

The description can be left blank or contain up to 255 characters.

    [Example]

    Share for user 1.

    Character Encoding

Clients communicate with a storage system using codes. Codes configured on an NFS share should be the same as that of the client. These codes apply to names and metadata of shared files, but do not change the codes of file data. Codes include:

    • UTF-8

      International code set

    • EUC-JP

      euc-j*[ ja ] code set

    • JIS

      JIS code set

    • S-JIS

      cp932*[ ja_jp.932 ] code set

    • ZH

Simplified Chinese code set, in compliance with GB2312

    • GBK

Simplified Chinese code set, in compliance with GB2312

    • EUC-TW

Traditional Chinese code set, in compliance with CNS11643

    • BIG5

      cp950 traditional Chinese code set

    • DE

German character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • PT

Portuguese character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • ES

Spanish character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • FR

French character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • IT

Italian character set, in compliance with ISO8859-1

    • KO

      cp949 Korean code set

    NOTE:
    • The storage system automatically lists codes supported by the file system.
    • The following describes method of querying character encoding on clients (for example, in Linux): run the locale command to view character encoding of current system.

    [Default value]

    UTF-8

    Show Snapshot

If this function is enabled, clients can show and traverse snapshot directories.

    NOTE:

This parameter is available in V300R006C10 and later versions.

    [Default value]

    Enabled

    Audit Log

After this function is enabled for a shared directory, the system can record audit logs of operations related to the shared directory. The audit log items Open, Create, Read, Write, Close, Delete, Rename, Obtain properties, Set properties, Obtain security properties, and Set security properties. By default, the system records audit logs of Create, Write, Delete, and Rename operations related to the shared directory.

    [Default value]

    Disabled

  5. Confirm that you want to modify the properties of the NFS share.

    1. Click OK.
      • If Character Encoding is modified, the security alert dialog box is displayed.
