Viewing General Information About a Storage Pool

This operation enables you to view the general properties of a storage pool.


At least one File Storage Service type storage pool has been created on the storage system.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Storage Pool.
  3. Select the storage pool whose information you want to view and click Properties.

    The Storage Pool Properties dialog box is displayed.

  4. View the general properties of the storage pool.

    Table 5-3 describes storage pool general parameters.

    ID of a storage pool.



    Disk Domain

    Name of the disk domain that a storage pool corresponds to.



    Storage Medium

    Storage tier information about a storage pool, such as the disk type, RAID level, and stripe depth.


    Performance Tier (SAS): RAID 10(2D+2D) Stripe Depth(128KB)

    Health Status

    Health status of a storage pool.



    Running Status

    Running status of a storage pool.



    Saved Capacity after Deduplication

    Size of storage space saved by the deduplication of data written to the file system.

    Size of storage space saved by the compression of data written to the file system.
