Viewing User Mappings

Viewing User Mappings

This operation enables you to view the created user mappings.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > User Authentication > User Mapping.
  3. Browse the user mapping information.

    Table 5-40 describes the related parameters.

    Parameter Name

    Description

    ID

    A user mapping ID.

    Mapping Type

    A user mapping type related to the operating system, including:

    • Windows to Unix: When accessing UNIX shares using Windows, a Windows user has all the permissions granted to the target user.
    • Unix to Windows: When accessing Windows shares using UNIX, a UNIX user has all the permissions granted to the target user.

    Source User

    The source user in a mapping.

    Target User

    The target user in a mapping.

    Priority

    When multiple mappings share the same source user, the system uses the mapping with the highest priority.

    NOTE:

    Priority: A smaller number indicates a higher priority.
