This document is applicable to OceanStor 2200 V3, 2600 V3, 5300 V3, 5500 V3, 5600 V3, 5800 V3, 6800 V3, 18500 V3, and 18800 V3. This document describes the implementation principles and application scenarios of the HyperMirror feature. Also, it explains how to configure and manage HyperMirror.

Removing a Mirror Copy

Removing a Mirror Copy

This operation allows you to remove a mirror copy that is no longer necessary.


  • If there is only one mirror copy in the system, the mirror copy cannot be removed.
  • If Running Status of a mirror copy is Synchronizing, the mirror copy cannot be removed.


Only system administrators are allowed to remove a mirror copy.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Go to the user interface of HyperMirror in vStore.

    Click vStore, select the desired vStore, and click Details to go to the vStore view. Choose Data Protection > HyperMirror.

  3. In the function pane on the left, select the HyperMirror from which you want to remove a mirror copy.
  4. Remove a mirror copy.

    1. In the lower function pane, select the mirror copy that you want to remove and click Remove.

      The security alert dialog box is displayed.

    2. Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation.
    3. Click OK

      The Execution Result dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation succeeded.

    4. Click Close.
