Managing HyperVault Jobs

Managing HyperVault Jobs

You can view, pause, start, and cancel a backup job or a data recovery job in the non-tenant scenario.

Viewing a Job

This operation allows you to check the running status of a data backup or recovery job.

Prerequisites

At least one backup or recovery job has been created.

Procedure
  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > HyperVault > Job.
  3. View the job information.

    Table 4-6 describes related parameters.

    Clean Up the Primary File System

    If this function is enabled, all data and snapshots in the source file system are deleted during remote recovery. You are advised to back up data in the source file system before remote recovery and enable this function when the available space in the source file system is less than 50%.

Pausing a Job

This operation allows you to pause a job. When the job is resumed, it starts from the state when it was paused.

Prerequisites

The storage system is working properly, with a HyperVault pair and an unfinished backup or recovery job.

Procedure
  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > HyperVault > Job.
  3. Select the job that you want to pause and click Pause.

    The security alert dialog box is displayed.

  4. Confirm the information in the dialog box. Then select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation and OK.

    The Execution Result dialog box is displayed.

    Click Close.

Resuming a Job

This operation allows you to resume a job whose running status is Suspending.

Prerequisites

The storage system is working properly, with a HyperVault pair and a job whose running status is Suspending.

Procedure
  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > HyperVault > Job.
  3. Select the job that has been paused and click Continue.

    The Execution Result dialog box is displayed.

  4. Click Close.

Canceling a Job

This operation allows you to cancel a job and restore data at the production end to the state before the job was executed.

Prerequisites

The storage system is working properly, with a HyperVault pair and an unfinished job.

Procedure
  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > HyperVault > Job.
  3. Select an unfinished job and click Cancel.

    The security alert dialog box is displayed.

  4. Confirm the information in the dialog box. Then select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation and OK.

    The Execution Result dialog box is displayed.

  5. Click Close.
