Viewing the General Properties of a Remote Fibre Channel Link

This operation enables you to check whether Fibre Channel links are available between the local and remote storage devices.

Prerequisites

There is a remote storage device and a Fibre Channel link has been set up between it and the local storage device.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > Remote Device.
  3. Select a remote device that you want to view and click the FC Link tab in the lower area.
  4. Select the Fibre Channel link that you want to view and click Properties.

    The Properties of Link dialog box is displayed.

    NOTE:

    You can also right-click the link and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.

  5. On the General tab, view the general properties of the remote Fibre Channel link.

    Table 3-1 describes the parameters.
