Deleting a SmartPartition

Deleting a SmartPartition

This operation enables you to delete a SmartPartition task.


Before deleting a SmartPartition, make sure that no LUN or file system belongs to this SmartPartition. Otherwise, the deletion will fail.


In terms of deleting a SmartPartion, pay attention to the following:

  • The partition deletion immediately takes effect.
  • The resource of a deleted partition is released to the default system partition.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartPartition.
  3. Select the SmartPartition you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete.

    A message is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

  5. Click OK.
